Project Overview
DevFest Lagos 2025 is part of the global DevFest series organized by Google Developer Groups (GDG), bringing together thousands of developers, designers, and tech professionals in Nigeria.
As part of the DevFest Lagos 2025 Digital Working Group, I served as the Product Manager for the main website, overseeing planning, execution, and coordination to deliver a reliable, high-impact digital experience for attendees and stakeholders.
Problem Statement
The website needed to:
Serve as the single source of truth for event information
Handle high traffic during announcements and registration phases
Support fast content updates across teams
Be delivered under strict timelines tied to event milestones
Given the number of contributors, strong product ownership was essential.
Objectives
Deliver a stable, intuitive, and mobile-first event website
Clearly communicate schedules, speakers, and logistics
Align multiple contributors toward a shared delivery goal
Ensure on-time launches ahead of key event announcements
